Al Ghat Wind Independent Power Plant (IPP)
Project Area: More than 27,000,000 m²

TMNCO Laboratories & Soil Testing Company carried out the geotechnical investigation works for the Al Ghat Wind Independent Power Plant (IPP), one of the major renewable energy projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aimed at supporting clean energy production and increasing the contribution of renewable energy sources to the national energy mix.

The scope of work included a comprehensive geotechnical investigation program involving more than 120 boreholes with depths ranging from 20 m to 60 m. The works also included a wide range of in-situ geotechnical tests and advanced geophysical investigations.

In addition, extensive laboratory testing was performed on soil and rock samples to determine their physical, mechanical, and chemical properties in accordance with recognized engineering standards and codes.

TMNCO also carried out topographic survey works across the project site, which covers an area exceeding 27 million square meters, supporting engineering studies and design activities for the project.

These works provided reliable geotechnical data to support the design and construction phases of the project and ensure the safety and performance of the planned facilities.

Key Scope:

  • More than 120 boreholes
  • Borehole depths ranging from 20 m to 60 m
  • Full geophysical investigation works
  • Laboratory testing of soil and rock samples
  • Topographic survey works
